Oxford has regular connections to Reading, Hereford and Birmingham New Street, and has fast connections to local stations between London Paddington, Worcester and Bicester Town. It has two platforms and is manned between 4am - 1.35am Monday - Saturday, and 7am - 1:35am on Sundays.

At the entrance of the station there are two identical ramps, both 15 meters long with a moderate gradient. The main entrance has many steps to the door, but there are two other step free entrances either side of this one. Once inside the station there is step free access. There is a bridge to cross over to platform 2 which can be accessed by both lift, and stairs. It also has its own entrance.

There are two unisex accessible toilets in this station - one on platform 2 (these both require RADAR keys which you can ask for from a member of staff). In the concourse there are six accessible ticket machines, and the ticket counter has low level accessible counters with induction loops.

The short stay car park has 8 accessible parking bays, there are two spaces behind platform 2 (on Roger Dudman Way), and more in the general car park to the left of the main entrance (access from this car park is via a bridge over Botley Road).
