Luton provides services to Bedford, Leicester, Loughborough, Nottingham, and Sheffield (northbound) and London, Streatham, Wimbledon, Gatwick Airport, and Brighton. It has five platforms and is staffed 24 hours a day.

Luton station is not very accessible for wheelchairs as there is only level access to platform 5. All other platforms have staircases down from the bridge. There is a council lift near the entrance station entrance to the bridge but there are no lifts down to platforms 1, 2, 3, & 4.

There is a disabled toilet on platform 5 and an accessible ticket machine near the entrance. There is a taxi rank outside the entrance and there are a 7 disabled parking spaces, three in the east car park (directly outside the entrance) and four in the west car park (around the corner just past the steps up to the bridge).
