Entrances & Exits:

Penarth Road Car Park Entrance:
This is an entrance and exit with double entry doors. The doorway is wide enough for all users and the shutters and doors and left open.
There is a raised crossing outside.
Be aware that the threshold into the area is not level and there is a small ridge at the threshold.
Wheelchair users can use the entrance unaided.


Taxi Rank Entrance:
This is an entrance and exit with automatic double entry doors.The doorway is wide enough for all users and the doors slide open.
There is no safe crossing outside.
The approach to the entrance may cause difficulty for some users as the entrance is lightly cobbled.
Wheelchair users can use the entrance unaided.


Main Entrance:
This is an entrance and exit. This entrance has five sets of identical double automatic doors, in which the doors slide open. The doorways are wide enough for all users.
There is no safe crossing outside.
The approach to the entrance may cause difficulty for some users as there are cobbled areas on the approach to all Entrances.
Wheelchair users can use the entrance unaided.


Riverside Car Park Entrance:
This is an entrance and exit with double entry doors. The doorway is wide enough for all users and the doors and gates are left open.
There is no safe crossing outside.
Wheelchair users can use the entrance unaided.

There are accessible ticket machines and accessible ticket office counter with induction loops

Ramps are used to access trains – If you need assistance, it is advised that you book at least 24 hours in advance of travel - All trains carry a ramp for wheelchair access.

Accessible taxis available.

An accessible public telephone is available in the ticket hall.

Unisex accessible toilets are available in the subway near the lifts. A RADAR key is required as the toilets are kept locked. if you do not have a RADAR key ask a member of staff (in this case they are only available during staffing hours).
The main entrance doors of the toilet are not automatic and the entrance door opens out.
Grab rails are present and an assistance alarm is provided.
The cubicle is large enough For parents travelling with children.
There are no baby change facilities available within the cubicle but there is a baby changing room (accessible to wheelchair users) adjacent.

The whole station has a step free access:
Platforms 1 - 7 can be accessed by the lifts in the corridor next to the tobacconist/convenience shop.
Platform 0 can be accessed by the lift in the main concourse.

Lifts
The lift car dimensions are sufficient for a wheelchair user and their companion. The buttons are also in Braille and there is an emergency alarm button in easy reach for all users.

Height of the direction button in metres: 1.2

Impaired mobility set down
Located at Penarth Road Car Park, the drop off point is clearly signed from the main entrance and/or from the approach to the station. There is enough room to accommodate safe side and rear loading. There is direct level access from the drop off point to the pavement or designated pedestrianised area. There is a raised crossing point which can provide level access.
The footpath routes from the designated parking/drop off point are on an even surface. The route from the designated drop off point is Level.

Ticket gates are in place with an accessible gate available at each set of ticket gates.
